Victoria Lodge was built in 1884 for a tax inspector, and is a large very elegant house full of character and original features.

The interior has been carefully designed to reflect the Victorian era; rich colour schemes and sumptuous fabrics complemented by beautiful antique furniture and large comfortable sofas.

From the moment you step inside the door you know you are going to be comfortably cosseted during your stay. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, and perfect for a relaxing break from ordinary everyday 21 st century life!

At the front of the house is a large sunny terrace overlooking a wonderful water garden, where flowers and shrubs create a cascade of colour. Guests can relax on the terrace, or in one of the two lounges that overlook the garden and enjoy the views over Lynton and the surrounding hills.

Each lounge has a large bay window that floods each room with light, comfy sofas to relax in, and bookcases full of local interest, with books and magazines to browse through.

Our award-winning breakfast is served in the dining room, again richly decorated in warm colours, with a wonderful period fireplace and over mantle.
